📋 Pricing & Billing Policy

At Shenandoah Scooper Squad, we use a pre-paid billing system to keep things simple and consistent:

  • Monthly Billing Cycle: All services are billed on the 1st of every month.

  • Pre-Payment Required: Your card on file is charged before service begins.

  • Quotes & Final Pricing.
    Online bookings display an instant per-cleanup quote to reduce customer friction. Final pricing may vary based on service frequency (weekly or bi-weekly), number of dogs (up to four), yard size, and selected add-ons. Shenandoah Scooper Squad will finalize the invoice after office review (including remote yard measurement to confirm ≤¼ acre per standard plan). The card on file will be charged for the prorated plan amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle plus any add-ons after the invoice is finalized; a confirmation will be sent by text/email.

    Scheduling & Office Hours.
    Customers may enroll online 24/7. Scheduling and billing operations are performed by staff Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Initial cleanups typically require two technicians and are most often scheduled for Saturday or Sunday, subject to route availability.

    Cancellation & Prepaid Billing.
    No minimum term; cancel anytime. On cancellation, future charges stop immediately and any unused prepaid amounts are refunded pro-rata. The free first cleanup has no cash value.

    Promotion — First Cleanup FREE.

    Initial cleanup fee (value varies; average up to $150) is waived for new residential customers who enroll in weekly or bi-weekly service. First visit includes a 45-minute time cap; any remaining waste is completed at the next scheduled visit. All other Terms apply.

  • Initial Invoice: Your first bill will include:

    • A First Cleanup Fee is typically $150 (required for all customers without promotional credit applied).

    • A prorated portion of your monthly service (based on your signup date).

  • Payment Before Service: Your initial invoice must be paid in full before your first cleanup appointment.

  • Ongoing Billing: After your first month, you’ll be billed monthly on the 1st for upcoming service.

  • Pricing Structure: Service rates are based on a per-cleanup basis, but charges are grouped into one convenient monthly invoice.

  • Pricing is based on an average 1/4-acre yard.

  • If you pause service and later resume, an initial cleaning fee may apply.

💳 Payment Policy

  • Subscription services are prepaid and billed on the 1st of each month for services during that month.

  • One-time cleanups are billed in advance of service.

  • Payments are processed automatically via your card on file.

  • A $1.50 temporary test charge may appear when adding your card.

Pause & Skip Policy

  • Notify us through your Client Portal, text, or call.

  • If we’re not notified in time, you’ll still be charged and we’ll do a double cleanup next visit.

  • Services paused for more than 1 month may be canceled automatically.

  • A new initial cleanup fee applies when resuming after a long pause over 30 days.

🌦 Weather Policy

  • We scoop year-round!

  • If conditions are unsafe (e.g., extreme weather), we’ll skip and return the following cleanup.

  • That visit will include a double cleanup, and the regular monthly fee still applies.

🔐 No Access Policy

  • If we can’t access your yard due to a locked gate, your tech will:

    1. Knock on your door

    2. Call and text you

If access is still denied, you will be charged for the visit

🐕 Multiple Dog Policy

  • Each additional dog is +$10 (up to 4 dogs max per household)

  • Be sure to keep your pet info up to date in your client portal or just reach out—we’re happy to help!

🐕 Dangerous Pet Policy

  • We love working with friendly pets!

  • If your dog is aggressive or won’t allow entry:

    1. We’ll knock, call, and text you

    2. If unsafe to enter, you’ll still be charged for the visit.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancel subscription anytime—no contracts! Subject to promotional credit use charges.

  • Please give us 72 hours’ notice.

📋 Client Responsibilities

  • Keep gates unlocked and your yard safely accessible.

  • Notify us of changes to the number of pets.

  • Maintain your yard (no overgrowth, clutter, or excessive brush).

  • We are not responsible for missed waste due to poor yard conditions.

  • We do not scoop through woods or heavy brush.

📅 Holiday & Service Interruptions

  • Observed Holidays (service delayed 1–3 days): Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Easter

  • Closed Dates (no service): Thanksgiving Weekend (Thurs–Sun), Christmas & New Year (Dec 24–Jan 1)

  • Missed visits from closures = double cleanup next time. No refunds or credits for holiday skips.

🎁 Referral Program

  • Refer a friend = $25 Credit

  • Referee must list your name and pay for their first service; they’ll also get a $25 bill credit

  • You must be an active recurring customer.

  • Account credits applied after 90 days of paid service. Account status must be active and in good standing. 

🎟️ Use of Promotional Credits

  • Promotions — First Cleanup FREE (Fall 2025).

    First Cleanup FREE is available to new residential customers who enroll in a weekly or bi-weekly recurring service plan. The initial cleanup fee (value varies by yard; average up to $150) is waived at signup. No minimum term; cancel anytime. The initial visit includes a 45-minute time cap; any remaining waste will be completed at the next scheduled visit.

    Prepaid billing. At signup, Customer prepays a prorated portion of the chosen plan (based on the signup date) and any selected add-ons. Payment must be successfully processed prior to the Customer’s first scheduled free cleanup. If the card on file fails or cannot be authorized, the cleanup will be automatically rescheduled and notifications sent; the appointment will proceed once payment is finalized. After the first cycle, plans are billed monthly in advance until canceled. Cancellation can be completed online at any time via the customer portal or by contacting support; cancellation is effective immediately and future charges stop upon cancellation. This promotion has no cash value, is non-transferable, cannot be applied to past balances, and may be modified or ended at any time.

  • Promotional credits are a conditional discount and require enrollment in a monthly recurring service plan.

  • Any free first cleanup offer is subject to a 45-minute time limit. If excessive waste prevents completion within this timeframe, remaining waste will be addressed at the next scheduled service.

  • First Cleanups appointments are typically scheduled for weekends (Saturday or Sunday) due to the additional time and labor required for initial service. These visits often require two trained Scoop Techs to ensure a thorough and efficient cleanup.

  • Promotional credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be applied to past balances.

  • Any outstanding credit balance will be billed upon cancellation.

⚠️ Liability

  • We are not responsible for:

    • Damages to gates, landscaping, or property

    • Missed waste due to cluttered or overgrown yards

  1. Non-Toxic & Biodegradable

  2. Assumption of Risk
    – Client acknowledges that, despite its safety profile, the solution may cause unintended effects (e.g., temporary discoloration of hardscapes or plant sensitivity).

  3. Waiver & Release
    – By opting in, Client releases Shenandoah Scooper Squad (and its owners, employees, agents, contractors, affiliates, and suppliers) from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from application of the deodorization solution, whether due to negligence or otherwise.

  4. Indemnification
    – Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Shenandoah Scooper Squad against any loss, liability, damage, or cost (including attorneys’ fees) resulting from Client’s breach of this section or use of the Service.

  5. No Warranty
    – The Gold Paw Deodorization Service is provided “as is,” without any express or implied warranty, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.


Acknowledgment
By starting or continuing any Shenandoah Scooper Squad service—whether scooping, deodorizing, or both—you agree to these Terms of Service in full. We may update this policy with proper notice.
